All flags basically have the same pattern and differ just by tinctures. Those common elements are:
1) silver finges
2) tassels and cord having the basic colours of the sheet
3) flag pole with spearhead finial of metal in silver colour
4) sheet quartered of two colours under a saltire of different colour
5) emblem on centre having:
-a) circumscription of black initials "COMANDO REGIONAL DA POLÍCIA MARÍTIMA D..." on a white annulet
-b) surrounding a black disc with a wreath of golden laurel
-c) over all a Iberian shield quartered by the same colours as the sheet, superimposed by a 6-point-star in counterchanged colours, superimposed by an anchor in re-counterchanged colours
